Data & Analytics Lead

Job description

As a Data & Analytics Lead at BearingPoint, you will play a crucial role in shaping our strategy and leading the development of our Dutch team. You will work closely with our clients to help them set up and implement data and analytics solutions that improve their businesses. You will also work with colleagues from different service lines to identify the best options for business challenges, manage projects, and develop the team's skills and capabilities.


Responsibilities:

As a Data & Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for managing and delivering advanced analytics projects and leading small teams of colleagues in delivery. You will also:

  • Prepare and deliver a strategy that matches the skills and capabilities of BearingPoint with that of the market and our clients
  • Work together with other service lines to align our offering to clients
  • Contact existing and new clients through our and your network
  • Coach and mentor colleagues in the data & analytics team
  • Identify market gaps and provide strategic guidance for the development of the team

Primary responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver analytics projects in some of our focus areas, depending on your expertise: data strategy, data management, data architecture, data engineering, data analytics, data visualization, tool development, and business intelligence
  • Define and develop analytics approaches to solve the client's business challenge
  • Define and develop methodology to ensure approaches are sustainable and audit-proof
  • Evaluate and support proposals on analytical components
  • Signal the needs of the clients, perform commercial discussions with clients, and proactively transform leads to projects

Requirements

Required qualifications & competencies:

  • A relevant Master's degree in data-related fields, such as data science, mathematics, physics, technology or econometrics.
  • 5-10 years of experience in data-related fields.
  • Knowledge of and practical experience in data and analytical techniques such as descriptive analytics, prescriptive analytics, data mining, optimization, algorithm development, and machine learning.
  • Ability to manage a small team.
  • A can-do attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (written and spoken).

Additional skills that are a plus:

  • Knowledge of and experience with data-related tools such as Snowflake, Kubernetes, Tableau, PowerBI, and Neo4J.
  • Knowledge of and experience with programming languages like Python and R.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and/or MS Azure.
  • Experience in a consulting role.
