You work on a strategic level internally as well as externally but are also able to use your technical skills to further the company and our clients.

At BearingPoint, we work a bit different than regular consultancy companies. You provide a key role in contacting existing and new clients through our and your network.

Your primary responsibilities

  • Management and delivery of analytics projects in some of our focus areas, depending on your expertise: data strategy, data management, data architecture, data engineering, data analytics, data visualization, tool development, and business intelligence
  • Defining and developing analytics approaches to solve the client’s business challenge
  • Defining and developing methodology to make sure approaches are sustainable and audit-proof
  • Evaluating and supporting proposals on analytical components
  • Signaling the needs of the clients, performing commercial discussions with clients, and proactively transforming leads to projects
  • Coaching and mentoring colleagues in the data & analytics team
  • Identifying market gaps and providing strategic guidance for development of the team

Requirements

Your required qualifications & competencies

  • A relevant and completed Master’s degree in related data fields (such as data science, mathematics, physics, technology, econometrics)
  • 5-10 years of experience in data related fields
  • Knowledge of and practical experience with data and analytical techniques (for example: descriptive analytics, prescriptive analytics, data mining, optimization, algorithm development, machine learning)
  • Experience in managing a team
  • A can-do and independent work attitude
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (written and spoken)

Your additional skills that are a plus

  • Knowledge of and experience with data related tooling (such as Snowflake, Kubernetes, Tableau, PowerBI, Neo4J)
  • Knowledge of and experience with programming languages (such as Python, R)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (such as GCP, AWS and/or MS Azure)
  • Experience in a consulting role

What we offer

At BearingPoint, we work with a multidisciplinary team of talented professionals. The gross of our projects is in The Netherlands, but we have strong collaboration with other firms across Europe. We have an entrepreneurial spirit and as a Data & Analytics Lead you will further develop yourself and the team in areas of your interest. We also have a strong social group with activities besides work.

We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive training program including Oxford / Yale training depending on your level, a bonus share program, flexible working location with flexible hours, a comprehensive mobility policy that allows you to choose from various options including OV and lease car and we'll provide you with the latest technology (laptop plus your choice of Android or iPhone phone).

Working at BearingPoint means

  • The opportunity to grow personally and professionally. We have a substantial training program, both for people with limited experience as well as for more experienced hires.
  • Continuous learning and development of yourself, direct client contact, and having direct impact on the business
  • Being part of a relatively small (~70 people), but close group of enthusiastic colleagues
  • A healthy work-life balance which includes parental leave days and flexible working hours
  • Excellent compensation and benefits packages, such as a permanent contract, (electric) lease car, laptop, smartphone, a collective pension, and health scheme

Our purpose “together we are more than business” has strong meaning for our colleagues and clients. As our clients put it “we like working with BearingPoint, because they truly help us grow and aim to make themselves superfluous”.
